We used vinegar, food colouring and bicarbonate of soda to make our volcanoes explode. It was a fantastic experience!

Cinderella and Rockerfella 1 Our first performace went brilliantly!

Hsur, Gink and Ekralc the giants rule Birch Class!

In maths we have been learning how to scale up by multiplying. We measured Mrs Rush, Mrs King and Mrs Clarke (aka Hsur, Gink and Ekralc) and scaled up their hands, feet, head and t-shirt to double, four times and eight times their original size. They looked like giants! We had loads of fun!

Our Roman Adventure

On Monday 31st October we went on an amazing and awesome trip to Colchester Castle. We did lots of exciting things like building a Celtic round house and Roman villa, exploring the museum, dressing up and we even had a story tour in the vaults. We learned lots of things along the way!

It was so much fun! (Olivia and Lexi)

It couldn't have been any better. (Jasmine)

It was the best day of my life. (Theo)

We had the best time ever! (Ella)

My day was great. (Nathan)

We would love to visit the castle again!

In science we have been learning all about Rocks and Soils. We had lots of fun making our own mini compost bins using compost and soil from the garden. We were very careful with the worms we added to our composters. We are looking forward to seeing what happens and discovering if our predictions are correct!
