Suffolk Day Picnic at Ickworth Park- 21st June
We have been invited to participate in the Suffolk Day celebrations at Ickworth Park by the National Trust. The event takes place between 1 - 4pm and entry to the park is free for the whole day. We are going to take the children to the park for 1pm where we will be having a picnic lunch and playing games. Suffolk radio will be broadcasting live from the event. Mrs Evans has agreed to provide a picnic lunch for children having a school dinner. Bus children will be collected from the park and sent home as usual. You are welcome to collect your children from the park between 2.30 - 3.20pm. You are very welcome to join us for this event. Children who are participating in our Multi-sports after school club or staying at Night Owls will be collected by Neals bus and shuttled back to the school and will be accompanied by school staff. If you child attends either of these we will assume you are happy with these arrangements unless you inform us otherwise. If you are able to help us walk the children down to the park, please let the office know as soon as possible.
Sports Day - 28th June 2018
This year our sports day is going to be slightly different from last year. Mrs Woodley has planned a whole day for the whole school. Throughout the day the children will be competing and representing their House team. In the morning the children will be working in House teams using the skills they have learnt this year in PE lessons; throwing, running, jumping and teamwork. In the afternoon the children will continue to represent their House and compete in more traditional races, choosing to represent their house in a variety of events. The afternoon will culminate in an inter-house 'Tug O' War'. You are very welcome to join us for the whole day or just the morning or afternoon, the gates will be kept closed for the whole day but will be manned between 8.50 - 9.30am and again between 12 noon - 1.15pm. Please try to time your arrival and departure to these times as keeping your children safe and the school site secure is our main priority. Mrs Evans is providing a picnic lunch for children having a school dinner. You are welcome to purchase a picnic lunch at a cost of £3.47 (please let the office know by Friday 22nd June), alternatively you may wish to bring a picnic lunch to share with your children. The PTA will be providing drinks and running a Tombola stall. Please park carefully and consider our neighbours and access for buses and emergency vehicles. Thank you.
