Reception children from Elm and Beech have enjoyed learning about Diwali, Festival of Lights.  They have listened to, acted out, narrated and drawn pictures about the story of Rama and Sita

We also made our own Diva lights using clay. When they have dried, we are going to paint and decorate them with glitter.
Elm Class enjoying free play!
Elm Class have been carrying out an experiment to see where their hands collect most germs! This was following a discussion on the importance of washing our hands properly with soap. Each child chose an area which they thought would  be the dirtiest and made  a hand print which they then pressed into a slice of bread. We are now waiting for the results!
Children in Elm Class were really excited to discover their new reading corner this morning!

The children in Elm Class have all settled in really well. They have enjoyed riding bikes and scooters, setting up their own hairdressers role play and exploring the outside area. When it was really hot the children spent time relaxing on cushions listening to calming music and looking at countryside images. Playing in the outside area is also very popular and it is good to them all making new friends.
