The EYFS Curriculum 

The Early Years Foundation Stage supports the development of children from birth to age five. The EYFS curriculum is made up of 7 areas which come under the headings of prime and specific. 

Prime areas:

Communication and Language 

Physical Development 

Personal, Social and Emotional Development 

Specific areas:

Literacy 

Mathematics

Understanding the World 

Expressive Arts and Design 

At Ickworth Park Primary School we use Development Matters to inform our long and medium term planning. We then use these development signposts to plan exciting learning opportunities through play and meaningful experiences.
