Early Years Foundation Stage Admissions at Ickworth Park Primary

We recognise that choosing a school for your child can be a bewildering process. Choosing the right school can be based upon several factors:

  • Proximity to where you live
  • Friends and family recommendations
  • Pre-school attendance
  • Older siblings attending the same school
  • Research you may have done online
  • Ease of getting your child to school if you work

Places are limited to 30 at Ickworth and we are often oversubscribed. By looking at a school you can begin to get a ‘feel’ for the environment and will know your child will feel comfortable in our setting, there is a lot of information on the other pages on this website. Children are in primary school for 7 years, so getting it right is important both for your child’s happiness and your peace of mind.

Ordinarilly we would be inviting parents to come and look around our school, We are hoping to be able to do that in November 2021. In the meantime there is lots of information on our website, if you have specific questions please do not hesitate to contact us. The best way at present is to email our school office at, if you require a telephone conversation please include a contact number and a member of staff will get back to you.

If your child will be 4 years old on September 1st 2022 then you are able to apply for a place in our Early Years class.

You will need to apply through Suffolk County Councils admissions process- information and forms can be found on their website The closing date for applications is usually mid January and the precise date can be found on the Suffolk County Councils admissions website, see link above.

We have created a video of our school so that you can have a virtual tour, please click on the link below.
