Welcome to the Ickworth Park PTA!

The PTA provides support the school in creating a positive and caring atmosphere in the school.  The money we raise in invested back into the school and improves your child’s school experience.

The fundraising events/initiatives we organise range from discos, serving refreshments at e.g. sports day, and our Christmas Elf room. We will either raise money for a specific purpose; we recently contributed £3,000 to replace the flooring of the outdoor play equipment which will benefit the children for years to come, or it's saved until it's needed, such as funding 'Doorstep theatre’ workshops in school.

We agree a schedule of fundraising events each school year, and with your help we'd like to expand our committee and make events even more successful. 

The Committee

The PTA relies upon the kindness and support of others; whether you’ve got the time to be on the Committee, or be a ‘helper’ at the disco, it really does all help.

We meet up to four times a year, mainly on Zoom and we also have regular Whatsapp chats. 

You’ll get to know the teachers and staff better, as well as making friends with parents in other classes at the school.  We are really friendly and the meetings are very relaxed.

Volunteering is good fun and rewarding!  You can do as little or as much as you want, and the fundraising activities are well spread throughout the school year.  The PTA is for everyone!  Parents, guardians and grandparents.  You just need a couple of hours a year.

The Helpbank

As well as the Committee, we have a PTA Help bank.  If you’d like a really informal way of helping fundraising events, we can add you to the Help bank Whatsapp group.  We will share event details on here and if you can help, then please let us know.

As parents leave school we need to keep the committee going, and we are currently a really small committee.  We would welcome new ideas, members and new helpers to help keep the PTA going and keep fundraising for the school.
