Activities Worker for after School Club

 

 

The Activities Worker will assist in the running and promotion of an after school club within the school for pupils between the ages of 4 and 11. The club runs from 3.20 to 5.45 pm Monday – Thursday and Friday 3.20-5pm, with parents able to collect the children at any time during the session. Pupils may attend specific after school activities with other providers in school and join the after school club from 4.20 onwards. The club has two staff plus occasional extra support depending on numbers attending. The Activities Worker will be expected to take direction and supervision from the Play Leader but will also be expected to use their initiative and contribute to planning and leading activities.

The club has to cater for the needs of children of varying age, background and interests. Space is required for quiet time as well as activities. Snacks and drinks need preparation and supervision Food Hygiene training will be available. The Activities Worker will also contribute to effective communication and liaison with parents and school staff.

 

Position is for 5 hours 20 minutes per week. Two days a week (Wednesday and Thursday 3.20 – 6pm) starting as soon as possible.

 

Occasionally additional hours may be offered in the event of colleague’s absences or at the request of the Head Teacher.

 

Salary: Starting at Grade 2 point 1 (£ 9.50 per hour). 38 weeks per year will be worked and will include holiday entitlement. Total annual salary circa £2100 which will be paid equally over 12 months.

Admin Assistant

 

 

Following a reorganisation of our school office admin arrangements we have a vacancy for an Admin Assistant. Duties will include processing dinner numbers, end of day collection arrangements, clubs, debt collecting plus a range of general administrative and reception duties.

 

As the school office is a busy environment with many interruptions, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a calm demeanour, flexibility and an attention to detail. The staff at Ickworth Park work as a team and you may be asked to assist in other parts of the school at short notice.

 

Discretion and the highest regard for safeguarding are essential, as is the ability to prioritise workload. A knowledge of financial procedures, Microsoft Office software and a good command of the English language is required. The school uses SIMS management software, for which training can be given.

 

Position is for 10 hours. Mornings only 8.45 am-10.45am. Five days a week starting Monday 31st October.
